Brian Greenberg

President and Founder

As a multifaceted entrepreneur, Brian has founded businesses in e-commerce, marketing, and financial services. He believes in building integrity into everything he does, operating a business for the long term with a strong reputation, and delivering on a commitment to exceptional customer service.
After starting his financial career with Metlife Insurance Company, Brian decided he wanted to provide people with an easier and more enjoyable way to buy life insurance. That was the start of True Blue Life Insurance, whose mission is to be transparent, honest, and helpful to customers — without ever bugging or pushing them.
In the years since then, he has worked tirelessly to improve the process of shopping for insurance. His goal is to make sure that everyone who comes to True Blue — whether they end up buying a policy or not — has the best possible experience.
A successful SEO marketing professional with decades of experience developing passive-income businesses online, Brian created “The Salesman Who Doesn’t Sell, A Marketing Guide to Selling While You Sleep.” Over the years he has generated over 50 million in revenue from his businesses and collected over 10,000 reviews and testimonials from customers.
Brian is licensed to sell life, health, property, and casualty insurance in all 50 U.S. states. He is an active member in the Million Dollar Round Table, a distinction awarded only to the top 1 percent of financial professionals. He has been named one of the most creative people in financial services.
Brian has a B.A. in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona.

Elliott Greenberg

Chief Operating Officer

Elliott’s varied professional career, which spans more than 40 years, has always had a common thread: a commitment to excellence in product development and exceptional customer service. It’s how he has approached any business endeavor he has ever undertaken, and he continues to stand by it today.
Under the umbrella of Greenberg Enterprise Group, Elliott and his son, Brian, are co-CEOs in a variety of business ventures: TouchFree Concepts and Wholesale Janitorial Supply, TouchFree Solutions, and True Blue Life Insurance.
Elliott has a B.A. in Speech and Drama, and a minor in Business from Arizona State University. He lives and works in Scottsdale, Arizona, and has three children: Brian, and daughters Robyn and Jodie.

Jason Alper

Life Insurance Agent

Jason began his career as an independent agent, helping to process and streamline his father’s business. During this time he learned how to represent multiple companies at the same time. That made it much easier, he discovered, to find the best product for each customer’s individual needs.
After a year as a captive agent with American Income Life, Jason joined True Blue Life Insurance. Here, he continues to represent multiple companies as a Senior Life Agent. He believes in getting to know his customers so he can help them find just the right policy for their specific needs.
Jason and his wife, Jamie, have been married since 2010. They have two sons, Nathan and Cameron.

Bob Young

Life Insurance Agent

Bob has been a life insurance agent and sales manager for more than 25 years. In that time, he has received extensive training in the use of life insurance for family protection, business legacy, estate preservation, and special needs planning issues. He also has specialized training in senior-focused issues, including final expense coverage and life settlements.
All of this experience serves him well as a life insurance agent with True Blue, where he focuses on no-medical term life insurance and final expense policies.
Bob is no stranger to hard work, and his diverse career has given him plenty of opportunities to relate to people from all walks of life. Before becoming a dedicated life insurance agent, he was a commercial fisherman in Alaska, a longshoreman, a foundry worker, and a real estate agent.
Bob graduated from Central Washington University with a major in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. When he’s not in the office, he enjoys golfing, as well as fishing and swimming with his wife of 32 years.

Cheryl Schlenkert

Life Insurance Agent

Cheryl has been involved in the life insurance industry for more than a dozen years. In that time, she has received multiple awards for outstanding customer service, including several Employee-of-the-Year honors.
She began her insurance sales career working with the Zurich Insurance Group and Fidelity Life. Eventually, she ventured out on her own as an independent sales agent.
Now, as an agent with True Blue, she brings a wealth of life insurance sales and customer service experience to her role.
When asked what sets her apart from agents at other agencies, Cheryl says it’s her focus on honesty and superior customer service.
“I take great pride in working with my clients. And, I have a very good understanding of the underwriting guidelines, which helps us find exactly those products that work best for them.”
Cheryl and her husband have been married 20 years and have twin children — a daughter and a son.

Jen Plisch

Life Insurance Agent

Jen is following in the footsteps of her father, a longtime insurance professional who started his own agency in 1974.
She began her insurance career in 2000, after graduating with a B.A. in liberal studies from Cal State Hayward. Once she earned her license she became an independent agent, working alongside her father and running his business. While there, she sold policies and processed applications for multiple companies.
Jen joined True Blue Life Insurance in 2014 and is now a Senior Life Agent. With more than 25 years in sales, she is committed to providing the very best customer service. Her goal is to help her clients find the best policy for their needs, at the best price.
Jen and her husband have been married since 2009. She has a stepdaughter and three dogs, aka her “fur babies,” who keep her busy — and endlessly entertained.

Ken Kaufman

Life Insurance Agent

Ken began his insurance career almost 30 years ago. After spending several years as a mid-level manager for a major Wall Street bank, he decided to pursue a career in the insurance industry, forming the Arizona Insurance Exchange, where he continues to serve as president and owner.
Ken has won a number of industry awards for his achievements in sales. He spent five years as a life specialist with Allstate and more than 16 years as both the regional vice president and national sales director for Agents Insurance Sales and Service, Inc. He has also recruited, mentored, and trained hundreds of life insurance agents in his role as president of the Agents Alliance Center.
Ken specializes in being a trusted advisor for clients who are seeking living benefits life insurance, guaranteed investment products, annuities, tax-free retirement, and long-term care insurance.

Nikki Walker

Life Insurance Agent

Nikki is a 20+ year veteran of the insurance industry with a history of sales, account management, underwriting, and claims support. She has worked with thousands of clients in both individual and group-based settings.
For over 5 years, Nikki has been working heavily in the independent life insurance sales world assisting customers in securing their futures.
When Nikki isn’t changing the lives of customers, she enjoys pursuing her interests in aromatherapy, motor sports, cooking, and traveling, and spending time with family and loved ones.

Roland Rodriguez

Life Insurance Agent

Roland Rodriguez entered the insurance industry after nearly a decade in the world of telecommunications. He saw a way to help people better understand life insurance and help them find the best coverage. This led him to seek out degrees in insurance, as well as pursuing other insurance designations. First from Norfolk Community College in Nebraska, where he received his associate’s degrees in insurance services. Then he enrolled in Indiana State University’s risk management and insurance program before finishing with his bachelors in business administration, with an accounting option, from Chadron State College.
Roland’s focus as an agent is to find out what best fits a customer’s needs and help them get the best policy. The saying that guides much of his work is “positive thinking coupled with goal-oriented action equals positive results.” He’s had experience as a top seller with Esurance and is bringing his expertise to the True Blue team. For Roland, customer experience is the most important part of his job and building a relationship with customers is how he does his best work.
In his spare time, when he’s not working with customers, Roland is a fan of yoga, weight training, vegetarian/vegan cooking and parenting his 8-year-old daughter.

Ben Peetermans

Creative Director

Within his wide range of expertise, Ben specializes in multiple design applications and software platforms. Graphic design, UI/UX design, front-end development, SEO, and project management are just a few of the many services he provides.
Along with his considerable technical knowledge, he has a broad skill set that includes a keen ability to observe, a talent for collaborating and brainstorming, and the capacity to manage large projects.
Outside the office, Ben enjoys nothing more than spending time with his wife and pursuing his love of the great outdoors. In particular, he enjoys fishing, kayaking, and boating, as well as watching the sun set over the Florida ocean.

Wael Hassan

Chief Technical Officer

An expert in several programming languages and database development, Wael has been with True Blue since 2014. In that time he has contributed significantly to the company’s digital security and software development.
He specializes in using a LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP) and has created custom scripts for True Blue built in JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, JSON, and XML.
Wael graduated from Helwan University in Cairo, Egypt, with a B.S. in Electronic Engineering.

Luke Kinton

Director of Marketing and Communications

In additional to his background in marketing, sales, and web design, Luke brings an impressive range of financial and insurance experience to his role as marketing and communications director at True Blue.
A licensed insurance producer in life/health/property/casualty, Luke also has FINRA Registered Series 6 and 63 certifications. As a Six Sigma Green Belt and Certified Market Research Associate, he takes user content to a new level of professionalism.
Luke studied Finance at Western Governors University.

Max Havey

Senior Content Editor

Max Havey is a Senior Content Editor for True Blue Life Insurance. With experience in the realm of journalism, content writing, and ghostwriting, Max is bringing his expertise to True Blue’s website and wider content initiatives.
He received both his Bachelor of Journalism and Master of Arts with a focus in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2015 and 2017, respectively.

Tim Nolan

VP of Engineering

Tim brings his love for business and technology together to spearhead development initiatives here at True Blue.
Before coming on board here, he worked heavily in full-stack development and database design. Specializing in overall systems and database development, he has considerable experience with SQL, JavaScript, PHP, and other aspects of design.
Tim holds a B.S. in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics from Babson College and enjoys spending his free time hiking, skiing, and engaging in other outdoor activities.

Joshua Michaels

Director of Communications and Internet Marketing

Josh’s expertise is in technical SEO, link building and content marketing.
He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design and Technology from Northern Illinois University in 2000.
In his free time, he enjoys golf and Netflix. His favorite movie is The Usual Suspects. His favorite TV show is Family Guy.
